Are these a good choice for long term storage of "valuable" memories... photos and videos.
Very low read/write but needs to last a very long time.
If you consider something digital valuable, you should be storing it on a device that does 1:1 backups between two or more drives as well as a secondary backup off-site, either in the cloud or elsewhere. Just my opinion.
I've had plenty of microSD cards that worked fine and then be unusuable the next time I try a year or so down the line, so personally I wouldn't trust one with a single backup.

I think you want to look at archiving or backup solutions. If you want to make sure your memories are safe you need redundant copies in different physical locations.
As a medium, I don't know if sd cards degrade over time without use (like a CD-R/W would), but they are easy to lose or get damaged in other ways.
Valuable stuff needs to be on at least 2 places. I don't go the extreme, due to the cost of storage, but my valuable porn collection is on two different hard drives. The less valuable porns from Hollywood studios and Netflex are only on one hard drive.
These memory cards would be either the 2nd or the 3rd location for my porn collection.

I know these dont last as long as hard drive. It's not the durability issue it's more like a lost and found issue. I have more than 20 high capacity cards now I can only find 4-5 of them. I know where all of my hard drives are though.

I know SDs dont last as long as hard drive. It's not the reliability issue it's the lost and found issue. I got more than10 uSDs now its 3 or 4. The hard drives still where they are. Another word this is the Air Pods issue.

It would be much less expensive to store your memories on 2 conventional hard drives.
Keep one drive in your home fire safe, and the other in your Safety Deposit Box
That way if your house burns down, you still have your offsite backup.
Yes, I know U3 is the best. But will U1 work or not?
