Yeah, I did that and the seller sold me a pirated key that worked for a month, then was blacklisted and stop working. He actually refunded my money which I was floored by. He tried to give me another key, I told him "no". Best to just go to Newegg and get the deal.
I bought the "more cheap price" pack off of eBay last fall. Around February all of my computers eset turned red and wouldn't update. A problem with my key it said and it would no longer log into live grid and update. When I logged into my.eset.com the license manager showed my 5 pack of license keys had been activated almost 100 times. I ended up rebuying a pack on sale more than this one through Newegg. No problems since.
In short I wouldn't suggest the eBay license packs as a legit option.
Is this a subscription? How does this compare to Malwarebytes? I have two lifetime licenses of Malwarebytes and I'm really happy with it but they are subscription now. I have a 3rd Windows machine now and would like to install malware protection but don't want to buy a subscription.
EDIT: Looks like it is one year, but wow - had to dig into the Q&A section to find it. They should call it out upfront.

Same. I had one legit and one fake. Very hit or miss!

This has happened to me a couple of times, but I've at least gotten a year or so before they disabled the keys. Some have gone much longer. At least once, the key has been working but I've needed to reinstall, and it fails then.
Hands down the MUTHA facking best on da block. 8+ years strong stopping all and any intrusions unlike any other "AV" that allows shit to install then tells you to remove. This mofo blocks a download, install, launch the minute a byte of data is infected.
