Um this is 2k
The Display port cable that comes in the box is 1.2 and this monitor in order to have zero flickering you need a display port 1.4 cable. This monitor supports that with 10 bit color panel
I'd say you're more or less paying for the name and support, Dell vs. Gigabyte. Both seem like great options, honestly.

I felt the need to post this because I bought the Dell monitor for $450 a couple weeks ago and I've loved it so far, so the $380 price seemed like a steal.

FYI, 4-5 months ago, I bought this in "geek-squad" recertified condition for $314. Not sure it was worth for the shorter warranty though.

I've been waiting for this and saw someone posted a heads up on the Gigabytes thread about an hour ago. It's not the lowest but wanted this one 👍

Thanks dude , been waiting on a 32 inch for a minute . Saw the gigbyte yesterday but no reviews spooked me on it. Not the lowest ever but decent enough for the time we are in right now .

Hmm... the Gigabyte is $25 less 1ms response and G-sync. Don't see the benefits of this dell VS the Gigabyte.

Gigabyte is a new release and will not have reviews other than previews and CES infos.

Just wanted to add that dell's warranty is pretty good. I had a monitor crap out, and their turn around time was pretty solid. They mail you a certified updated rev. Monitor and you just mail it back(they pay for both shipping).

Also, having same panel type on Gigabyte also doesn't translate to same performance and quality. Dell is renowned brand in monitors.

On paper specs look pretty good for Gigabyte though. Reviews will speak.
I am thinking having similar panels/performance would bring prices down on these.

At the moment UW 34" or higher are exorbitantly priced.

Just got good monitor last week. It's great! Works perfectly with g-sync at 165 hz with 2080Super. Great colors, no noticable smearing to me

The big difference is the costco one is only 60Hz but is 4K, while the Dell is 165Hz with 2K resolution.

That is a 4K monitor with 60hz refresh rate, this meanwhile is a 2k monitor with a 165hz refresh rate. It comes down to what your needs are for the monitor.

How does text look on this monitor? I'd like to use it for both work and gaming so crisp text is a must.

I use it for work and games myself and I haven't had any issues with it at the recommended resolution.
