Good price. Wish they had something similar for this price w/AC3000. I've read that getting one of these for an existing RBS50 (which is what i have) setup would cause the entire system to function at the AC2100 bandwidth.

Was just thinking this same thing. It's so difficult to find a reasonably priced satellite for the RBK50/AC3000 system.

I guess I'll find out in a few weeks when it ships as I'm adding this to an RBS50 system. I backhaul over gigabit ethernet so I hope it won't be an issue but I can test both ways.

Report back if you can. Lots of misinformation out there about all this stuff. Some say its fine, some say degradation. I also see a lot of people complaining about getting firmware updates for one series and not the other and at times it messes things up. We're building a 2 story house right now and i have the AC3000 satellite and router. I'll know more once we get into the place if i need another AP. Hopefully i dont but im guessing i will.

yes.

I have this speaker and I love it. It is currently "between" my router and the other satellite, so that kind of sucks. But we have this in the kitchen and we use it a lot, both for its Alexa functions and for listening to music.

I just need something to give me better coverage in two rooms that I seem to have trouble getting a strong signal in (one on each floor of my two level house). I have an RBR50 and RBS50 so I guess I'm looking for two RBW30 units? Or is there something else I can put in those two rooms? The RBW30s are a very expensive add-on for a system that is supposed to provide more than enough coverage for my <3000sq. ft. house.

Thx OP. The price is now $99 without 10% coupon so it's a deal. I'm willing to sacrifice my RBK50 speed for coverage so this will be a great addition.
