So I'm setting up color bulbs for landscaping. Was going to go with hue for scene control. How do these do with scenes? Anyone know of a good app for control? I'm seeing mostly SmartThings use on amazon reviews.

Can you update the thread in your community about the slowness of these bulbs? Is it the bulb? Is it the hubitat? Is it their network?

You can pick one up for pre-order when you get your bulbs. 😉

They are currently slated to begin production on the 25th.

Scene control will be dependent on the z-wave hub you are using.

There was a recent update about the speed of the bulbs on Hubitat. Check it out in our community!

Nathan

EDIT (Eric): We also have a new driver being posted to help with this. This doesn't seem to happen on other hubs, so we believe it's a Hubitat issue -- however, to be safe, we have an alternate version of the driver that will be posted shortly that cuts down on the traffic.

Thanks for being here. What does this mean?

Remembers Last State

If you ever lose power to your smart bulb, it will return in the last state it was in. No more waking up to every light on in the house after a power outage!

If I turn off the bulb via z-wave, then turn it off at the switch and turn turn it back on at the switch, does that mean it won't turn on the bulb?

Or does it turn on, but at the previous brightness/color? Just trying to nail down what exactly is the power-off and power-on behavior.

Can I have them cycle through colors on SmartThings? Like for Christmas I'd like my lights to cycle through red/green. For 4th of July cycle through red, white, and blue. Instead of just a stationary color. Possible? I dug through my SmartThings app and I'd seen I can make a "scene" but there's no option to like cycle through.
Thanks.

It means that yes, if the bulb loses power for any reason, when it turns back on it will go to its last state. If it was off, it stays off. If it was on and blue, it'll be on and blue when power returns.

If there is a smart app that can do that. I'm not sure if that's possible right now though. Cool idea!

I have personally never really seen the appeal of these colored lights (like Hue, etc.) outside of bias lighting behind TVs, but perhaps I am just not thinking creatively. I am curious how/where folks are using them?
