Thanks OP! Perfect timing as we see more and more petty tyrants and autocrats at all levels of government and in all political parties stepping up to rule their "ponds"

It's amazing how one children's book and author can have a lasting and positive impact on the world greater than thousands of politicians combined.

A bit of trivia about the book:

- Yertle was based on Adolph Hitler—Seuss had originally drawn him as an editorial cartoon for a New York newspaper in March of 1942

- The use of the word "burp" was highly controversial at the time. Oh how things have changed Smilie
The sale ends in 6 days according to Google Play.

Couple of other kids apps are free for a limited time too.

PJ Masks: Racing Heroes (Android or iOS App) $3.99 Free
Peppa Pig: Sports Day (Android or iOS App) $2.99 Free
I approve of this app Smilie

From Wikipedia:

Quote :
The use of the word "burp"—"plain little Mack did a plain little thing. He burped!"—was also an issue before publication. According to Seuss, the publishers at Random House, including the president, had to meet to decide whether or not they could use "burp" because "nobody had ever burped before on the pages of a children's book".
No kidding. That level of hand-wringing over a burp? Think of going back in time, sitting down and explaining to that board room full of men smoking in suits what some children's entertainment is today. laugh out loud
