Not bad, but just FYI - this bundle was $149 on May 4th. Could immediately return the battery for $50 making the jigsaw $100.

If I want to do things like make speaker boxes or maybe work with 1/4" mdf and maybe up to 2x4 wood. Should I get this or would the m12 version be perfectly fine

No issue for 12v regarding cutting power, but all 12v jigsaws lack dust blower.

Don't get the m12.....it doesn't have a blower that blows the sawdust out of the way.....it's a big miss on the m12.
