IKEA has various furniture on clearance. Order online; at checkout you'll see the list of stores open for pick-up orders (delivery also available at an extra cost).

Be warned -- their customer service right now is non-existent. You cannot call ("too high a call volume right now" -- it hangs up on you), and they are only accepting emails for order cancellations, nothing else. No returns or refunds accepted at the moment, and if you have any problem with what you buy (damage, missing parts), it's next to impossible to reach them for help. Check their Facebook page for many complaints -- orders never arrived but people were charged for them, and now they can't get a refund because it's past the credit card window for a chargeback!
We put an order for a patio set in the middle of April, and it's supposed to be delivered on 9 Jun (no updates since I placed the order, but the card was charged already). The same set went on sale right now for slightly less, but I am unable to get the price difference because I can't get through to their customer service.

Ikea is a mess at the moment. Caveat emptor.
Ikea's online experience is a mess even in the best of times. I love ikea and have tons of their products in my house but for such a large company it's surprising how bad their e-commerce game is.

It would even let me order for pickup, it says "Maximum orders reached for the day, try tomorrow"..
This has been going on for as long as click and collect has been available. My online neighborhood board someone was asking if anyone got an order to go through and no one could.
Everyone gets the same message as you no matter when they try to place an order.
It's weird because our state has already entered Phase 3 where stores can be open and all the Kohl's have already opened back up. But Ikea seems be treating their stores the same across the country no matter what the individual states do. All still closed.
I am guessing its low density particle board with thin paper layer. please feel free to correct me.
it depends on the product line, they have a huge variety. I have some drawers that are ldf and a hemnes bedset that's pine. A lot of their midgrade stuff is solid wood.
i don't think it's any of these things, but they do have a lower end material that's basically veneered cardboard (e.g. the ubiquitous $10 side table).

I guess not everyone has your exquisite taste.
No, Ikea has some solid wood furnitures.
Hemnes is usually pine. Outdoor furniture is wood. Others take your chance.

Edit: The Hoghem bar cabinet is solid wood, too.
