First the good:
+ Strong, well designed hinge
+ Included stylus was a plus and worked well when I used it for light photo editing (not all models may include stylus)
+ Keyboard well spaced
+ Fingerprint reader works fairly well
+ Ram is easily upgradeable
+ Battery is easily changed if necessary (and unfortunately it was)
+ SSD easy to change
+ Wifi card also easy to change, so an adapter with wifi6 and bluetooth 5 is a cheap and easy upgrade (don't get a killer 1650, I had nothing but issues with it)
Bad:
- Had major battery problems shortly after 1 year of use. Machine would sometimes drain all the way down to zero, but started randomly shutting down with 30-40% still left... only to say it was zero when I plugged it in. Luckily it was easy to change the battery myself, and haven't had any problems since replacing it. If this is going to happen every year though, I'm not happy. Even with a fresh battery, it only lasts about 3 hours.
- Display isn't very good, which is probably the biggest issue. 250nit max brightness is quite low, and you don't realize how low it is until you see it in person. I also have a weird flickering on the screen that comes and goes. Most noticeable with lower battery levels, but also happens when its plugged in. I've seen other reports of this happening on similar lenovo devices, so I think it's a real issue.
- Charging cable has a very short cord, which seems like an odd thing to complain about... except its far shorter than anything I've ever used so I feel like pointing it out. It doesn't charge via USB-C which would make this an easier problem to solve. I've just been using a power splitter with a longer cord to charge it from the wall when I'm still using it.
- When I first got it, I had a lot of issues with the wifi dropping out at random times. I was getting ready to return it, but found a post about installing older drivers to get it working. That worked, so I just stuck with the older drivers that worked fine. Still shouldn't be happening though
- I'm not sure when, but at some point the USB port on the right side of the machine stopped working. I don't use it very often (usually just use the left one) but tried to use it recently and noticed it wasn't working.
Screen is 250 nits. No USB-C display port. And Bluetooth 4.2.
I still purchased as it has everything I personally need in a laptop. Thanks OP!

The Ryzen 5 4000 series has done really well. Here's a link you can compare dif chips to whichever intel chip you're looking at.
