I picked up my Mobius on the 23rd. Still waiting for fulfillment status.
I wish I could find a good review comparing the LCD-1 with the Mobius. Based off of cost, it would seem the LCD-1 are probably the better of the two, but it seems more like "better" is subjective depending on use case. The Mobius seems to be a jack of all trades, whil ethe LCD-1 might have a little better quality sound and maybe a little better build quality.

I got Mobius through the IndieGoGo fundraiser while it was in design state, it is indeed one of kind Gaming headset that has Bluetooth Planar. I got them because it was totally new and I was excited about the Surround sound capabilities.
Ultimately the choice should be based on your requirement, if you are primarily looking for Listening to music then LCD-1 weighs better compared to Mobius.
Mobius is good for multichannel Gaming, movie and casual Bluetooth listening at home, its kinda big and heavy though

The LCD-1's aren't wireless and have no mic, while the Mobius is designed for gaming and 3D audio. They're in completely different categories. As such, I would expect the LCD-1 to sound much better when paired with a good amp.
I currently listen to my music through JBL LSR 305/310. Hooked up to an EVGA Nu Sound card.
My wife often asks for me to turn down the sound while watching movies, especially car chases and loud gunfire action type movies.
I figured, the Mobius are closed back and planar and I could use them bluetooth or wired. As for sound, most say that the LCD-1s are nice, but I don't see a lot of direct comparison with the Mobius.
From a use case:
- Mobius can be wired or blue tooth
- Mobius Planar head set
- Mobius Closed back to not disturb others while listening.
- Mobius 7.1 sound emulation
- Mobius Microphone while wired (Gaming)
- Mobius Controls on headphone
- LCD-1 better sounding music?
- LCD-1 Planar
- LCD-1 Wired only
- LCD-1 No microphone
- LCD-1 Open back
- LCD-1 Lighter/More comfort?
LCD-1 is relatively new which may be the reason you don't see comparisons...Audeze Customer support is awesome you may reach them for comparison or anything.
From your use case if you are watching movies in your Big TV then LCD-1 is not the preferred choice since it is wired unless you plan to add the Bluetooth receiver like Fiio etc.

I watch them on my PC (43") computer monitor. But, I would probably use it wireless, at least with my phone. Their shipping is kind of slow, so I think the sale will probably be over before I get my Mobius, but if I don't like them I can always send them back. Most hard core audiophiles probably don't like them, but most other reviews I have seen have been pretty positive. I took Z Reviews input on my LSR305s, everyone gives them a good score middle of the road. Z Reviews on the other hand wasn't as kind with the Mobius, but he was very favorable with the LCD-1. Hence my dilema.

It's mostly preference: it comes down to whether you prefer open-back or closed-back. Mobius has more features and larger drivers (100mm vs 90mm), I don't think you can go wrong with it.
The only drawback to Mobius is that the noise floor is slightly perceptible so the LCD-1 may be better for professional applications since it would let you use your own DAC/amp. If that isn't an issue, Mobius has a perfectly capable onboard DAC/amp.

I haven't heard the LCD-1, but I imagine the main consumer difference is the soundstage and the open back nature. Mobius is light and comfortable. For what it's worth, I haven't seen any complaints about the sound quality of Mobius but the reception to LCD-1 seems mixed.
Mobius sounds great if you want a flat, distortion-free frequency response.

Just put in an order for the Mobius. Already have the HD6XX and I've got the Drop X Panda due in June/July. Figured another mid-tier headphone couldn't hurt while I wait for the LCD-2C to go on sale.
