Wish there were some deals on high end Chromebooks. Need to get my kids a school Chromebook with at least 8gb of ram and a decent cpu.

Same. I want a 11in with 8gb of ram.

So far I've found Lenovo 500e (81MC0003US) but the price is more than I want to pay.

@OP, the spec for storage is inaccurate. Walmart is showing only 32GB for this model. 4 in stock in San Diego.

Chrome is a hungry app - my middle schooler often has 30+ tabs open, between school stuff and personal stuff her current 4-year old chromebook starts to crawl. I'd rather pay an extra $150 for a highend machine and not hold her back.

Until you buy your new one start using Onetab extension to free up Chrome memory.

Never used a chromebook just phone/pc/consoles/laptops. I want under $300 for audio and surfing and vudu if i can? Any ideas do not want meh display or audio and not act slow like a emachine lol
