I previously bought these for cooling and to keep the back of my neck from getting sunburned when working outdoors, and they function well for both of those uses. Since the pandemic, I have used them in combination with the mask I have for sanding, which filters well but has an exhaust valve and thus wouldn't protect others in the case that I were infectious. Layering both the mask and this gaiter together filters well for *me*, and protects *others* by stopping my exhaled breath from traveling far.

I have this exact one and it does what it says. Use it for gravel biking through some dusty trails and it definitely helps filter dust. Also does help keep me cooler when it's damp. I damped the back with a bit of water but not the front to ensure it doesn't interfere with my breathing. Bike with it during Georgia summers, so it good for hot climates.

Good to know. Just bought them for mountain biking. I ride Pisgah and DuPont a lot.

It may not be a slick deal, however, I was unaware Costco carried this product, so TU.

That being said, I don't understand these wet to cool products. Um, most any moist fabric will be cooling.

i got something similar from this company (blackstrap industries). everything is made in america and they use scraps to make masks and other small products. more expensive, but certainly a better company.

and the goal with cloth face masks is to filter the liquid in your breath/cough/sneeze that would carry the virus far and wide, not JUST the virus. they all work for that (to some degree). wear one. stop being dense.
