    I know that Amazon product descriptions can be less that completely accurate, but the listed vendor is literally "Seiko" who, not to put too fine a point on it, should know the watches that they manufacture. I'm astonished to find these three statements within the description for this watch:

    1) "Automatic self-wind movement"
    2) "Batteries: 1 Product Specific batteries required. (included)"

    And the pièce de résistance:
    3) Movement: Swiss Automatic

    FWIW, I do dig that retro 1970's styling.

    Not sure where you see Seiko as the seller. AFAIK most big-name manufacturers (and Seiko is as big as they get) don't sell direct to consumer; it would undermine their dealer base.
    Sellers often don't know crap and copy-paste boilerplate text from other listings. It's hardly a PhD doing that, usually a $9/hr (much less if overseas) kid.

    It specifically says it is sold by Amazon, not Seiko. There are two other vendors and neither of them are Seiko either.

    Not that great of a deal. Part of the Seiko Recraft Series, it uses a 7S26 movement. So no hand winding and no hacking feature. Also, no lume.

    Do not get this. You will start with this first starter watch as an automatic, and then next thing you know you get addicted and end up with a drawer full of higher priced automatic watches that you don't know what to do with..... don't ask me how I know.... Wink
