The 8-port unit (4 of which is POE) from TP-Link is also on sale if interested. $60
I have the TpLink 4-port and it's been working well so far for months.

this is one of their SMART Managed switches.

it uses a program to use the VLAN, etc features.

I had a few of these for years (various versions) until I went full Ubiqiti and really liked them.

Use VLAN along with a Unifi AP (powered by this switch) as well as POE cameras, etc.

Perfect timing, just replaced my router today and needed a new switch as the new one doesn't have extra ports.
Back to $69.

Yup:

ProSAFE Plus Configuration Utility v2.7.8 is the config utility, I had 2 eight ports, and a 16, then had a 24, all "SMART Managed Plus" line.

They are really great devices.

The utility can be a little wonky, some of the bigger switches also have a web GUI.

Is tp-link better than netgear for networking devices?

This is a decent PoE switch which has been been around for a long time. My notes say it was $75 - $15 MIR = $60 at Fry's Electronics in early 2016. I'd absolutely buy one of these at $62.19 if I needed one, but I don't have plans to add any more PoE cameras, so this is a pass. I also believe they have lifetime warranties.

I have the TP-Link as well, works excellent providing home office connectivity along with PoE to an Ubiquity Mini switch, a LR AP and Pi with a PoE hat.

For lower end, I'd say equal. The TP-Link is regularly $10 less and has a web management interface, not requiring software.
