They already do 40% off a few times a year. This is just them trying to look good for publicity. "Here is our usual sale but just for doctors, thank you!"

They offer this discount all the time for 40% off. They also offer 40% to military (active and retired) all year round. Don't feel that you need to snag this now. But 40% is the best deal I've ever seen (which sometimes runs for everyone around Black Friday)

We bought this last mother's day for this price, on my brother's strong recommendation. I was skeptical that it was going to be worth it, but after a rocky couple of weeks, the snoo proved itself worth its weight in sleep. Yes, this price comes up a couple of times a year, but if youre in need, its worth it even with the more frequent 30% off coupon. They have excellent resale value too.

I was able to get verified. I'm a licensed healthcare professional working in a hospital, and I'm neither a nurse nor doctor. I think as long as you have a verifiable license, this applies to you? I'm not really sure how they verify, it was almost instantaneous for me.

I was worried they weren't going to discount it this year after everything went down. It was strongly recommended by a co-worker who said it was the only baby furniture they had splurged on but it was completely worth it for them so I'm down to give it a shot.

Bought one last year during the 30% sale before the birth of our son. You can buy now and plan for a later delivery; they are very flexible about it. Everyone raved about this product, especially when you have a child that won't sleep. It's well made and aesthetically pleasing. But our kid wasn't picky and slept anywhere; he slept the same amount of hours in the SNOO and in his crib or dockatot. After 4 months, he almost outgrew the Snoo so we ended up giving it away. Looking back, we probably would not have bought the Snoo if we knew we'd get a kid that slept well. You just never know. I'd recommend getting the Snoo delivered a couple weeks after birth so you have an idea what kind of sleeper you got. Setup is pretty easy even if you're sleep deprived.

$800 *on sale* is an absurd amount of money for something like this. Spend your money how you like, but I find when it comes to kids, people's common sense with $$ tends to go out the window and they wind up blowing $$ on all sorts of crap that really isn't worth it. any gizmo advertised to do something better for a kid is marketed with this in mind. I have 4 kids, I know.

You're probably right. We are first time parents and honestly didn't know what we were doing. Thought we'd try to plan for all scenarios. Little did we know, no amount of planning will suffice. Just gotta roll with the punches.

And have you actually used one? Please feel free offer a cheaper alternative to the snoo, one that will dynamically react to the intensity or the crying, can be configured or operated/adjusted by smart phone, and has similar metrics and reporting. As far as I know, no apples to apples alternative exist.

I have two kids, one that used a snoo, and one that did not. I personally wouldn't hesitate to buy the snoo again.

The added safety aspect of the snoo swaddle keeping them on their back makes it even more worth while. Sure, you certainly dont need to have a snoo, but the features and functionality made it worth splurging on this one piece of equipment. And when youre done, you can flip it for 500 to 600 easy, at least around here.

When you purchase, you can designate when you want it shipped out. Keep in mind it's ship out date, not delivery date. Then just email them if you need that date changed down the road. Pre-covid times, they responded within same day by email.

I get what you are saying, but I'll tell you this.

My job pays the bills. My being focused and more rested over 6 months (we were, the baby LOVED THAT THING and slept sometimes up to 11hrs straight in it) costs more than a $880. Heck, once we were done with it I sold it on FB for 650 in less than 24 hrs, meaning my net cost for having a great comfort (bot sleep wise for us and baby, and safety wise due to reduced risk of SIDS) was $200ish bucks over ~7months. In my book, it was easily worth the money.

Even if it was more expensive and even if I couldnt sell it.

My friends bought a snoo for their second child and said that it was not significantly different than their first go round with respect to total sleep.

IMHO for folks with more money than sense.

Get a used one and resell it if you must be separated from your money.
