3 is perfect, they have different uses. I'm waiting for the 16" to go on sale.

I bet its just like having different sized crescent wrenches. I'm too cheap to buy a 3pk. When it comes to tools, i've got a champagne taste on a water budget.

Haha. In the past, I'd buy only the most popular-size version of the tool. Then eventually I'd have to get the bigger/smaller size, making me realize I should've just gotten a set at the cheaper price.

But I know what you're saying. Easier just to spread out your payments. nod

These wrenches are nice. Got them from another deal but don't remember the price.

These are great, but have only used them twice.

These are only cheaper by $5 compared to buying them individually on Amazon. $56 - 12", $55 - 10", $41 - 7 14" = $142. All at regular price. $5 off for the set is barely smooth, let alone slick...

Edit: I suck at math. 56+55+41= $152. $15 savings. Not a bad deal if you need all three sizes.

I've seen this set for $99. How is this a good deal unless your boss is paying for it

I asked on /r/tools and most people suggested skipping the set. They said there's not much difference between the 10" and the 12" but that the smaller sizes are nice to have.

Same price at Home Depot.

I'm not familiar with Knipex. Is their black finish or chrome finish more durable and corrosion resistant?

GC / Remodeler here..
Hands down, the best parallel jaw adjustable pliers. I bought this set (2x's after my first set got stolen =/ ) and use them everyday. They are workhorses. I also have the cobra set (for more grip). Size wise it is important to have all three. Sometimes you need more leverage so the longer handle helps. I often use two at a time to loosen plumbing / electrical connections. I also have the 5" mini which looks like a toy but has a 1" jaw opening! Perfect for those tight areas. If you are a tradesman I highly recommend this set. This price is just okay (as deals come). I got mine at Zoro.com with a 20% coupon. They come out every so often with that promo and are a legit company.
