Went looking for the $1 HDMI cables at Wal-Mart, saw these on clearance.
As always, YMMV.
My store had several of these in stock (15+). I recognize a deal when I see one. Sadly, I don't have the Philips Hue system integrated into my home but figured I'd pass along the deal.

Regular Price: $29.99
Clearance: $5.00

Shows available near me.

Any way to use it without the Phillips Hub, either via a third party app or any of the voice assistant(google home, Alexa etc.) ?

Pretty sure you need the hub. There was a thread on the hue 2 weeks ago (at a higher price) and all the other ones have dropped as well. I provided bs links on that post and will recopy here. You can get a hub + 2 bulbs for $17 if its available around you. Previous thread https://slickdeals.net/f/14049674

Yes, you walk over to light switch and turn it on/off. By voice, no.

My store showed 6+. Got to the store and they have 19 in stock but not a single employee could figure out where they were. Annoying.

FYI. In my store these were not located with the other light bulbs. They were located in the electronics section.

You can control basic on/off functionality and brightness with an 2nd gen echo show or echo plus which has zigbee smart home control built in (no hue bridge required).

For advanced functions, I found you will eventually want the hue bridge.

Haha, seriously. One employee said he was clocked out, one said he didn't have a phone to check inventory with, electronics dept guy didn't want to look in the back, one was new and didn't know much, one said they were on a truck, and only one admitted they had no idea but did help me look for a while.
