These are loud. I returned one and stayed with the kitchen aid mixer with the grinder attachment. Much more versatile, quieter and less storage space.
Put meat in freezer for 15-20 minutes to firm it up before slicing.

Cheapest currently available on the grinder. Matches cheapest Amazon price in the past year per CCC.

"RUsum1 Exotic" lol

I have Kitchenaid metal neat grinder attachment and it is horrible to deal with. Dedicated meat grinder is the way to go, but I think I will wait for a higher end model. Nice find for the occasional custom burger grind.

Any thoughts on the meat slicer guys? I bought 1 before but it was pure junk. I don't wanna make the same mistake.

That looks like the meat slicer we have. We use it to slice raw meat into slices for shabu shabu usually, and it works pretty well. Cleaning not bad. Def. wouldn't try to cut through bones with it. Think we paid 80? The slicer makes some cool meals possible, so I'm a fan.

Looking for a meat slicer as well. Have one, but it always seems to leave the bottom of the meat uncut and end up with a flap of meat. Real pain when I am trying to slice my bacon.

There were different versions of authentic KitchenAid grinder attachments. Some are very flimsy real junk, leaving black residues and extremely slow. My son told me he couldn't make his to work. I thought it was operator's error, until I visited him and saw how lousy his was. He replaced his with third party all metal grinder attachment.
