So I purchased this TV at Costco's last sale on it a little over a month ago (399).
I find the TV actually very good for the price. For a budget set, the colors are excellent - and much better than a typical TV in this price point for size, Netflix and other 4K HDR content looks fantastic. Does need a little tweaking on some of the contrast/brightness settings initially, and of course the blacks don't look quite as good as a local dimming set, but you avoid blooming headaches at least. Now that I've dialed in the settings, I really like it and works perfect for my needs (gaming, some streaming content, sports if they ever come back). Upscaling is decent.
Biggest difference over the 7300 series is this is a VA panel, whereas that is an IPS panel, so I would wager some folks would actually prefer the IQ on the 7100, perhaps.
TVs that I've had in this space that went back for various reasons and I like this value/benefits over:
TCL 6 series - I know this is a fan and Rtings favorite and while the image quality, color, and Roku are excellent, I found the motion handling to be abysmal and terrible for live sports and games, and the DSE, panel imperfections (corner lighting) was atrocious.
Vizio 2019 Quantum M - also very good value, (got in on 499 sale price( quality excellent, couldn't make it stop turning on and off by itself.
For those looking for the other options on mobile, hold the Like button for a sec to show the other options.
Damn I'd love to have a 60 foot television. Can't wait to mount this on the front of my house

Pretty mediocre TV but not bad for the price. The TCL 6 series would be substantially better across the board and I would personally take the Hisense H8F that Costco has over this.
Absolutely untrue, plus 90% of the people buying from Costco will have the 4 year warranty.
I for one have had a much better experience so far(3 years) with my TCL(4 series at that) than my friend has had with his Samsung.
I know you probably either overpayed for a "big name" TV or have a lot more money than many of us and got a Q90 or OLED, but stop spreading false information.
-I've had 3 TCLs die on me. Do not buy. They're cheap for a reason.
-I know the price is tempting, but these are shoddy TVs and TCL's customer service is not the best. The panel completely died on my first unit. They replaced it with another defective unit, and then refused to furnish another replacement. I ultimately received a refund through the extended warranty I bought from Wal-Mart and will eventually have to replace the TV myself.
Do not buy TCL!
-I'm using FireFox and can't login, which is required to check out. Oh well.
so these are all the post from this guy.... hating on TCL and can't figure out how to login to a website...lol
