Best music player on the market. Its missing multi track tag edit. I do have issues casting to my Sony receiver though. Does anyone else have issues casting using this app?
What makes it worth paying vs using free option like VLC? Just curious.
Obviously everybody has a different use case for a music player, (and I certainly haven't tried them all) but PowerAmp full is my locally stored music player of choice for several reasons.
It allows me to customize my music navigation. I still prefer to navigate by Artist > Album > Track. With a simple search option if I want to play a specific song via google assistant voice command.
I love that it will automatically start playing where I left off when it connects to my car bluetooth and stop playing automatically when it disconnects. (feature can be turned on and off for bluetooth and headphone jack)
I can set up custom EQ for each bluetooth device and for wired. So for example, one EQ profile for the car, another for my gym ear buds and another for my wired headphones.
Probably a lot of other players that do this stuff, but I'm happy with PowerAmp for my use case.
Unnecessarily complicated for what it does.
I have the full version but switched to VLS (free version) instead.
I also have the full version that I bought many years ago when it was much less complicated and really liked it. I absolutely hate the navigation now. Also be warned, despite the fact that they say it only authenticates once, thats a lie. I go off grid camping a few times a year, and this app will inevitably call home and disable itself if there is no network connection. I very specifically asked the dev if this would be an issue before I purchased.
FWIW I now mostly use Samsung Music since it seems to be the only one that lets me move my playlists from my computer to it without losing all the songs. I was also experimenting with Pi, but both Pi and Poweramp will eventually end up with blank playlists. If anyone knows a fix for that, by all means chime in.
I bought this app a long time ago and used it everyday. Totally worth it.
My experience exactly! Bought this many moons ago, when it first came out and haven't looked back. I keep 40GB of my tunes on my phone in shuffle mode, so I'm never without great music. Also, devs do a good job of keeping it updated.

I've got this. Removed it after I got Neutron, the best of the best. The only player that can truly "radio station" cross fade and start the new track without fading in while the previous track fades out.
All others, including this one, fade out and annoyingly fade in.

This can't be used for music steaming from the likes of Google Play Music or Amazon music? Is there a way?
