Can these be a substitute for the JBL LSR310s?
Because those are supposed to play nicely with the JBL 3 Series for frequency crossover and afaik in other ways too.
Performane would be very similar between the two.
- JBL has a bit more punch (atleast on paper) but the 12" woofer on R12 can move more air.
- Lot more positive reviews for the R12 than the JBL.
- Buying from Costco gives additional protection. Not sure about JBL's customer service.

So, leaning towards the Klipsch R-12SW.
The 550p though is sealed, and has more power, also a lower hz frequency (hits those lower notes that the klipsch cant)
That said, having a 12" woofer does sound appealing, i'm torn here!

It's listed in a larger threat with the other studio series speakers. The link neonneon provided takes you to that thread.
This is a killer deal though. As are the other Studio series speakers in that sale.
Have not heard either but the JBL is 500w verse the 400w Klipsch. I'd like to take a look at the back plate for LFE and for any sub in as well.

Am also trying to decide between this and the Klipsch R-12SW from Costco.
R-12SW - 400W (200W RMS), 12" woofer, 29-120 Hz frq, resp, 40-120 Hz crossover
