The other day I did something where locking pliers would have saved me 15 minutes, so I decided to buy some.
Menards has this $5 11" locking c clamp that totally kicks butt so I have faith in cheaper locking offerings.
Shopping around this seems like the best deal by far, compared to the other big box stores. The finish looks pretty similar to the 2/22 milwaukee set from home depot. I have liked every Kobalt thing I've bought over the past 6 or so years.
After getting home I played with them a bit and clamped them on a stuff and they seem like good quality and I'm very happy for the price. It also seems like they have a newer/nicer set for $20 but I'm happy with this set.
