This deal has been available on Whitecap and ACME recently, and I've seen it pop up on HD before. Right now I see it as Store Pickup, though it has (off and on) been available for ship to home.

When adding it, the breakdown comes to:
$144.86 /Saw (kit)
$104.14 /2 Extra Batteries

Which means you'll probably be able to do split returns and get the saw for 145 or the batteries for 105 after the returns, depending on what you want/need.

Last week I ordered the saw to ship and the batteries for pickup in the same order. If the discount doesn't show, try a desktop browser - I had issues using my phone.

Let's see what happens when I don't pick up the batteries.

They'll sit around for months until you call in and tell them to cancel it

According to Makita's website this promotion is available until the end of the month, it just hasn't stayed in stock at HD very well, so if you miss it now keep checking back this month. Definitely a good deal if you want to get on Makita's battery system

Actually my HD sends me email saying because of c19 they only keep the pick up around for a week. People are all doing pick up so they don't have the space to keep all the products around the pick up desk.

I bought the other circular saw on this promotion a couple weeks ago. Box was a return, no packaging and the saw was just thrown in the box with the batteries in it. Spent an hour on hold for customer service who scheduled a pickup and a new order. Because the item was backordered/OOS online, she could only do a new order for store pickup that same day. Waited for the pickup text for a couple hours but instead only got a cancellation text with no other information. These have been going in and out of stock since then. I would definitely do a store pickup and make sure the Makita seal is intact before going home to save yourself some hassle. Deciding whether to place another order or not.

Bought this saw for about this price 6 months ago and use it weekly (I unfortunately paid the same price but didn't get the extra 2 batteries). Throw a red blade in there and it's wonderful (I mean it's pretty awesome even with the stock blade depending on what sort of work you are doing).

I have a bunch of Makita gear, so much that I have been selling off the dual rapid chargers with 4 batteries that I got with each piece of OPE that I recently purchased. Was easily getting 240-250 on FB marketplace / CL for them (new). At that price, this is basically a free saw. I'm definitely thinking about picking up a few of them to resell / split.

For those who tried to return a partial combo order - I tried to return a partial combo deal last time to HD (ordered online shipped to home), they said it's the wrong item as the main item wasn't being returned and it just lists 1 price for all the tools on the receipt. They said I'd have to return the whole combo for refund. I tried to ask for store credit instead like you normally do without receipt but was denied by the system (not the cs), possibility due to being a high-value item? It was like a $119 tool. How do you get it to work? Only if you bought the combo in store?

Was it a two part item? IE showing both items separate on the receipt, or a combination showing all together?

My box for the other saw was completely open when it got to my house as well. Thankfully everything looked like it was new, just didn't tape it or seal it before shipping.

Mine was missing any packaging and was obviously used but I am debating rebuying one of these since my refund hit my card.

I've been using my Dad's Skilsaw that's so old, I think it may have been the first one ever made. I came to Slick Deals to find a deal on Makita batteries so now I've killed two birds with one stone. It should be ready for store pickup tomorrow. Thanks for sharing!

(I could have bought it from HD Supply with free delivery from their Anaheim store on Thursday. Sorry HD Supply, but I'd rather buy it from Home Depot. Maybe some other day.)

It just says tool + 2 bonus tools as item name and only one single price of $399.

How is this saw compared to the Milwaukee M18 Fuel saw? Same caliber?

I'm in the Makita camp, so maybe I'm biased, but this saw kicks some serious A€%. At this price, if you aren't in a system, it's a no brainer in my opinion.
