If you don't mind it being a bit baggy, then go for it.
Sizes seem to be limited so go for what you think looks nice.
Something you could rock w/ a pair of jeans and/or pants you have
These are just jackets and not full suits (i.e. no matching pants). The most important point re "modernity" in suiting would be to choose a single breast versus double breasted jacket.
Fit is also really important. Hard to get measured during the pandemic, so you might want to wait if you don't know your size. You should also probably get any off the rack suiting tailored.
*I know people had issues with them but I received all 5 of mine as long as I made sure to turn off my ad blocker.

Some restaurants require a jacket. I haven't been to one in a long time as the cultural tone has shifted away from these types of establishments (at least in the US). You still see it from time to time; think county club's. However, having a nice jacket you can wear out to dinner without committing to a full fledged suit is a must for any man above the age of 30. Buy the nicest jacket you can reasonably afford that fits well and make sure it's 100% wool. Then spend $50 at a good tailor and get it fitted for your body type. Then swing by a sporting goods store and pick up a bat to beat away all the p***y trying to claw up your pant legs.
Awesome lol
