Chicken is the first ingredient which is good, but wheat and corn are the second and third. Cats are carnivores and eating grains isn't ideal for their systems. Cats don't need 100% grain-free unless they have an allergy but the protein content in this food is too low. Look for closer to 70% protein, where this food has 30%.Quality catfood isn't as cheap but for those interested Life's Abundance is a brand commonly recommended by cat breeders. Here's a site that ranks catfoods, with a review on Hill's Science: https://www.catological.com/hills...od-review/
Actually, this is crap food. Catfooddb rates it as significantly BELOW average food. Just because some Vet offices push this, does not mean they promote it. They get big incentives from this company to sell the stuff. It's the same as going to your Dr. They get free samples to push on people and make money off it. This is crap food. http://catfooddb.com/brand/hill%2...nce%20diet
It's literally the brand that veterinarians recommend and sell but sure, ok... lol

Kitty litter is not very conducive to keeping a cat alive. Maybe If the cat was given Hill's Science diet they might have survived.
