I've been tracking this for months (new and refurbished) and this is the lowest price ever on this award winning projector from Epson that came out last year.
$1399 - 10% discount and no tax for most = $1259.10

Are ppl gonna use in ECO or regular mode?
The 4010's powered lens controls also works in tandem with onboard memory to let you easily change lens settings as needed for a constant image height setup. If the price difference between the two models remains this small, you'll want to take a close look at the 4010 before you decide on the 3800.

4010 is nice but no hdmi 2.0 for the 4k 60fps gaming. I love that on my 3200.

Unless you are sitting close enough to see the grid between the pixels you will not notice the difference
Thats pretty much a given at anything under $4K even used and refurbished.
Overall I got the 3100 awhile ago for way cheaper and its amazing, its the littler brother minus the 4k and there is no point of upgrading. For brand new this is a great deal on a projector of this quality and it also has 3D which makes it one of the few out there for those who enjoy their 3D collections like me.
I ordered one 7 days ago and it hasn't been shipped out.
That doesn't sound promising , using their site for the first time hope they are reliable!!
