The overall width is 44.25" which includes the towel bar. Per Q&A: The butcher block top is 40".

Ended up ordering the red since that's all that was left. Don't hate the red on its own though I'm sure it will look just lovely with all my other mishmash trying to make the best of an odd space until the day far down the road where I can gut the whole thing.
