I bought reconditioned 530 blower and 580 blower ($229 new with 5 ah battery) back in March. I decided to return 580 blower for the same reason, so I could use the saving to buy more tools like string trimmer, hedge trimmer, or pole saw. The only concern would be the reconditioned 2.5 ah battery date. It dated Jul 2018 and almost 2 year old. You can check by remove the serial number label carefully, you will find the battery date.
Anyway, it is awesome blower and love it!

Thanks bud. Was holding out on a sale for a higher power blower, but honestly you can't deny that $99. It should kick the pants off my basic 18v ryobi blower.

Besides with the money I saved, maybe there will be a killer multi head deal or something I can jump in on.

Pretty good deal just for thr battery and charger considering how expensive those are for ego. Temped to buy just for the battery and charger and try to sell the blower.

Also discover has 5% home depot this month I believe.

Did the same thing. 580 didn't feel that much stronger for the price.

there is a 530 blower and trimmer combo pack for 249. According the previous deals, it marked down to 199 for both tools with a 2.5 ah battery. Not sure if this happens for this year. For the price 99, it is usually sold out fast.

Hmmm, that's true it's probably a better deal to do the combo. Maybe I'll cancel.

Yeah it gives you 5 years on tools and 3 year on battery warranty. The reason i did not buy / consider that because I want powerloaded carbon shaft trimmer bare tool. It was on sale for 129 last week and I already bought 169 hedge trimmer with 2.5 ah battery deal. i guess i am set for next three years hopefully Smilie .

That makes the battery costs around 20 dollars! I do not know how I feel selling stuff on craigs or fb. it is a great idea not to spend 100+ for a new battery.

Reconditioned should carry the same manufacture warranty according to google search.

The reconditioned tools I have purchased carried a one year warranty on both the tool and battery compared to the 5 year/3 year on the new tools and batteries, respectively.
