Tracfone has been around for quite a while, their service model has always worked like this, yet someone always shows up in a Tracfone thread to say this sort of thing. Tracfone deals are usually pretty good for those that understand and can accept the limited amount of usage for the cost. To each his own.

I've had this phone since I got it free with port in at Metro this past Christmas. It's a excellent phone with very good battery, excellent call quality and screen, and never experienced a performance lag which someone mentioned. Reviews are solid.

You can get a similar service deal, phone specs, minutes, etc. in a Moto G6, for $100-$110. Check the usual suspects QVC, HSN, TracFone on eBay store.

The G6 has been $35 from Amazon regularly recently, renewed but always like new. Good deal, nice phone.

Man, this comes with a ton of shovel-ware not to mention all the bloatware that normally comes with a Samsung phone, I suspect. Expect to spend a lot of time uninstalling or doing a clean reset unless you want all this stuff. I have a Moto now and one reason I bought it was my last phone, a Samsung, was just loaded with things I didn't want and could not get rid of.

Thought these were a good deal, until I realized it's 1.5gb for a YEAR, not monthly. Plus the phone is locked to the SIM card, so neither can be transferred until your year is up.

Useless.

Is this 5g compat? as I need the newest phone that can take 5g ..this seems very cheap in price and money has never been an issue (but I love tracfone) ...I do like to save money as papa would grill into me when I was a little kiddo. So I want a 5g phone that I can use tracfone with ...thnx slickies
No. 5G phones use the 765 or 855/865 Snapdragon in the US.

However if you're referring to 5GHz wifi be sure to indicate that.
