I used a similar deal last year but DELL delayed one of my item for almost two months which expired my credit.

My Amex Gold is offering $120 statement credit back. Wifey's Amex Gold is offering 12,000MR points back (I personally would prefer the MR points over cash, but I'm not complaining).
So if I ordered a high end XPS machine for example that came out to anything over $1200 after tax on a single order, I can split the payment equally across both cards, and get over $240 worth of value. Correct?
My concern is whether the single Dell order number will void the Amex offer on one or both cards.
I am reminded of a friend who saw a good deal on ebay, but decided to ask the seller if they would take $10 off the price, figuring "it never hurts to ask". The seller ended up blocking him from buying the item. (Many sellers do that on ebay, as they know people who start haggling on the price are most likely to be people who will be problematic buyers).
There is no such a thing as it "never hurts to ask". It can always hurt.
Because us SDers are in the pursuit of the ultimate deal. This consists of a combination of capturing sale price/price mistake, stackable coupon codes, cashback portals, credit card statement credits AND rewards points. And let's not forget free shipping, worry free returns, and extended warranty.
