I used a similar deal last year but DELL delayed one of my item for almost two months which expired my credit.

Also, not sure if this is a known thing with Dell, but prices changed for me depending on if I was going direct to Dell or through a affiliate rebate site. Any rebate 'savings' I would see on the back end was wiped out by the price increase (plus, the coupon would not work when going through the affiliate site).
interesting that 14" AMD 'Ryzen 5' 4500U laptops only have 256gig ssd.
i would have bought if it had 512gig ssd

Considering Lenovo is a Chinese company with questionable QC as such, you are not really getting comparable value imo, but to each his own.

Just the way it is. Maybe inheriting the ThinkPad line helped them. I don't know.
SquareTrade had a survey of hardware reliability that supports my anecdotal experience.
I have many, many refurbs of the same age, and all of the Lenovos outlast the Dells. They also tend to not have as many weird issues. I think almost all of the Dells I've had, had some kind of power related issue or driver problem. You'd think they snuck in faulty drivers and driver updates for forced obsolescence.
I'm using a Dell XPS 13 myself. Its form factor and hardware is sexy and all, and more than gives even Macbooks a run for the money on paper, but I've sent it in for repairs 2 times, and it still has a permanent bios bug causing sleep mode to cause the laptop to no longer turn on and prevents bios upgrade which almost bricked the laptop. Apparently it requires (another) motherboard replacement to fix.
I just have to live with forcefully disabling sleep and using hibernate only.
tl;dr Dell XPS 13; it's still sexy, but got serious issues. Their top line laptop with high reviews has got serious problems, and their commodity gear doesn't last.
Out of all the Lenovos only 1 failure due to hdd failure, but a graveyard of Dell laptops. Granted I do have Dell desktops that have been running for something like 10 years.
If I were to get more gear or be asked for recommendation, I would not recommend Dell again. Their top line gear has serious bugs that should never have passed QC and shows serious negligence by their bios software maintainers and support. Their cheaper gear is just unreliable.
I've got refurb Lenovos in usage that have been smashed to the point that they no longer have cases, and they're still running reliably, whereas I have a graveyard of Dell laptops that failed after something like less than 1-2 years for various reasons.
But not break the bank. Would appreciate any recommendations. TIA

I THINK it still works on this type of deal, but not 100% sure.
Also, people wanting pcs and monitors probably should have waited until a round july 4th and most likely there will be lower prices. I can't decide whether to wait myself because I need one more samsung ssd and they always go back up to $220 or $230 for 1tb and $450 for 2tb after a while.
