I used a similar deal last year but DELL delayed one of my item for almost two months which expired my credit.

After sales tax in most states, shipping with insurance and gouge fees on Ebay\paypal (13%), you will not make that much when you factor in you will have to resell at a discount to get people to purchase from you instead of Dell. Might be with your effort\might not depending on the item and what price you get it at. I usually do not bother as it is not worth the grief and effort.
trust me, I know all too well what a ripoff ebay and amazon are for sellers. And now even shipping companies.... I had to pay over FIFTY DOLLARS to ship a pc case a couple states away. I sold it for $99, I think, paid over $50 in shipping, $13 in fees, etc... so got only around a third of the money!
However, if dell just so happens to have a product on a good deal, once it goes back to regular price, I could maybe get close to breaking even. Especially if it's dell brand where I can use a 15% off coupon once I get it.

Yeah, between EBay gouge fees and the USPS raising rates to the point where shipping most anything nowadays costs 7-8+ dollars min, You really have to find something which not only has decent value (100+) but that you get for a considerable discount to make it worth your trouble trying to resell. Lower cost items simply are not worth one's time as the shipping costs for the avg person make it a non-starter imo. And anything that weighs a good amount or that is bulky is pretty much a non-starter as well.
For ex., I have a friend that bought a replacement drawer to a refrig online. His old one had broken. He ordered the wrong part by mistake. Trying to return it, the merchant would not pay for return shipping. The box was over a certain size LxW and the cost to ship back the $25-30 item was like $40. Weight was negligible (like under 3-4 pounds), but because the box was a couple of inches over certain lower cost shipping options, the USPS wanted $40 to ship it domestically. Fed Ex and UPS were ever worse. Makes absolutely no sense. Needless to say, he just kept the item since it would literally be cheaper for him to just throw it in the trash.

USPS is run so poorly it has been losing money forever. Nothing new with anything the gov touches. They raised prices to try and stop the bleeding, but all it does is generally force people to other methods where possible and ultimately probably reduce overall use. With the move to electronic mail for delivery of many things like statements and reports and the like, they are fighting a losing battle on that front imo and the package market, where they might have an edge they have sort of given a large portion of it back to Fed Ex and UPS with the massive price increases. Their service stinks and their costs are almost as high as their competitors. That is not a good business model to follow lol.
Newegg was bought out by the Chinese a few years ago. They have generally not been competitive since and given everything that has been\is going on, on general principles they are to be avoided imo.
