Give it about 10 to 20 seconds. It will leak. I tested on both the front side and the back. I also tested two more from the same box just to be sure.
10-20 seconds and water did not pass sounds like its doing its job. unless im mistaken. these are to protect from water droplets passing through, so unless you are up on someones face who is spraying spit at you none stop for 20 secs. then seems these are good as the rest of the price bunch?

Every single SN95 was defective. The band that was heat welded to the mask had holes in the mask where I could see my fingers through and through. Can't return. Am throwing all of those away. Its not a filtration quality issue - it's a manufacturing defect issue.
In China the raw material price collapsed (meltblown cloth from 450k CNY per ton -> 2k per ton) and the mask wholesale price dropped 85% (1.3CNY -> 0.2CNY each). If you can wait, you will be able to find much cheaper mask soon.

While there are some truth in the post, I.e. raw materials and mask prices are going down, it is not going to be that dramatic for export market (from China).
Only a small number of companies are allowed to export masks, and there are growing demand for masks around the world. Therefore the price drop will not be as dramatic as suggested.
Besides, after price drop below certain level, there is little return in search of cheapest masks. I think people should shift attention on quality of the masks.
The LANSWE face mask have 35% leakage according to the box so the mask just barely meet the minimum requirements for the GB/T 32610-2016 standard.
Some information about this GB/T 32610-2016 standard. for the LANSWE face mask, it said GBT/T 32610-2016 Grade D. For that standard, it has Grade A to Grade D and this one has the lowest Grade.
GB/T 32610 has four different levels: D, C, B and A. These levels are for different AQI(air quality index). Level A mask is for the condition that PM2.5 is below 500μg/m3, Level B mask is for the condition that PM2.5 is below 350μg/m3, Level C mask is for PM2.5 below 250μg/m3 and Level D mask is for PM2.5 below 150μg/m3 condition.
For the applications, GB/T 32610 masks are used to protect us from the air pollution like PM 2.5 particulate matters. It is not suitable for underwater work, firefighter, medical use or industry protection. GB 2626 masks are suitable for protecting from dust, mist, fume, microorganism and others. It is not suitable for hazardous gas or underwater work, firefighter work. GB 19083 masks are suitable for medical work environment.
.....
The GB/T 32610 mask Grade A means leakage is less than 10% and PFE has to be over ClassⅡ. For Grade B (Leakage is less than 15%), Grade C (Leakage is less than 25%) and Grade D (Leakage is less than 35%), the PFE has reached ClassⅢ.
Grade A leakage <= 10%
Grade B leakage <= 15%
Grade C leakage <= 25%
Grade D leakage <= 35%

I guess return cannot be re-stocked for safety. We are in a pandemic. Normally ok perhaps.

I had them, well made and fit very well on my face
I believe no one knows the quality of these masks. These are not certified by any of the department in USA
