Sure, but if you can instead of adding to your floorstanders try mounting in front height position on the wall above your front towers, angled down towards MLP. Will result in much better height effects than reflective

These are killer speakers. I have 3 pairs in my Atmos setup - front Atmos, and side and rear surround. I paid $500 for each pair, too!

Holy crap.. what kind of receiver are you using? I am guessing a 15.2 receiver... those cost like 20k or something..

Good deal. Paid $250 a few months ago. Now I can get to 5.1.4. Need a deal on a pair of RP-160Ms to get to 7.1.4.

Does the R-41SA pair ever go on sale for much lower than this?

Can they be used for anything other than Atmos?

I have heard of people using them as surrounds. They have a keyhole on the back so you can mount them like a bookshelf speaker but it will obviously angle down. I used to set them on top of my fronts but like them better as heights for my atmos setup.

So I can add these to my floorstanding and use another pair for surrounds?

These are pretty great. I paid $100 more about a year ago. They completed my 5.2.4 Atmos setup as the rear "height" channel.

Be aware that placement is key. You can't stick them anywhere and assume you'll get the proper Atmos effect.

Get the RP- 500SA and mount as front and rear heights. It's 5.25" woofers (up from 4in with the 140SA) and a switch to disable the Atmos "filter/crossover" with peaks and nulls at certain frequencies used for the ceiling bounce to trick your brain into thinking sound is coming above. Even if you use these as front heights you will still have that peak and nulls at certain frequencies but your AVR may be able to equalize that out. If you use these for two channel and have an old AVR you will have those Atmos filters/crossovers will still be their when you are listening to two channel.

No they are passive speakers. unless you have a soundbar that allows for wired rears, it wont pair with anything
