i did this promo when it was through newgg--never was able to use the promo--tried to use them through amazon, and amazon said they were invalid--went back to vanilla who said i already used them--after many attemps to straigtenit out i gave up--you can google vanilla and see many similar reports

Well, you're not buying this directly with Home Depot. So, you may not get that 5% cash back thru chase.

For what it's worth, I was able to add the Vanilla card as a payment method and then use it to reload $10 to my Amazon gift card balance with no issues.
