Even at 30% off they are still more expensive than most. Crazy prices.

Actually, I think it is a matter of you get what you pay for. I switched over to Sherwin Williams after buying some paint on a similar deal after seeing that SW paint covered over the walls in one coat. Other paint I had used needed two coats. So I think this is a very good deal indeed.

But would you still do 2 coats? Isn't there a 40% sale that generally comes in June?

When I started looking at painting this year it was mentioned that the 30% off was very frequent, but the last one was in March. I'm not sure if COVID-19 has changed their promotions dates, especially with the amount of people WFH that wanted to do home projects.

Consumer reports rates a couple Behr/Valspar paints higher than SW and I've painted a decent number of houses and I think they're fine for interior work (and the box stores actually have a pretty good color selection) but I would never use the box store stuff for exterior painting. SW Emerald can get away with 1 coat, flows well and fills nicely. HD's top of the line Marquee runs and sags and needs 2 coats (and is only $10/gal cheaper). And that savings goes away when you have to buy enough for 2 coats. I would never pay full price for SW though; the sales are regular (or, just setup a trade account and get the discount all year).

I have used all easily accessible paints near me. Behr, Valspar, Glidden, Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore.

Sherwin Williams was my go-to contractor paint for a long time. I just went back to BM two weeks ago and it was surprisingly good. Substantially better tier to tier against SW.

Ben is a bit better than SuperPaint both in coverage and color. Regal select is much, much better than Duration in every way. Just like regal, Aura vs Emerald is like night and day. However Aura is very expensive.

Scuffx/Advance are both amazing trim paints, Advance does have a very long cure time though.

For primer(I stand by priming everything before painting) get either Zinsser 123 Bullseye or BIN depending on how bad the existing surface is. BIN is amazing but not fun to clean and the fumes are rough. Plus it's expensive. 123 works great for a waterbase primer.

BM Aura > All!

That being said, I used Regal for bedroom because it's cost to damn much for Aura everything. I used Aura for the main rooms.

How to apply the $10 off $50 coupon for an online order (pick-up in store)? Cannot find a way to apply online since you can only use one code (already used the 30% off).

We did our custom house in Regal after the budget the builder gave us for paint couldn't cover the cost of Aura - our 1st choice.

Gotta say never had Aura so don't know what I am missing but th Regal has looked great in every room the last 7 years.

you can apply the 10 off 50 coupon now online since 30% off does not require a coupon code
