Looks pretty neat, despite not knowing if this is a good price or not ,just by the design and overall looks, it's not a bad deal. What do SD members think?

Marmot is quality stuff. Looking at Marmot website they have this same jacket for 50% off - $80

https://www.marmot.com/mens-bower...42070.html

Both sites show only available in size L

Seems like it's what a normal fake fleece lined jacket should cost.

Marmot is indeed a quality clothing/gear brand for outdoor enthusiasts. Considering that this is a non-tech jacket (i.e. no weatherproofing, moisture wicking, or bomber insulation), the $60 price point seems like where it should be. That being said...it is a cool looking jacket for going out.

What's their return policy? I'm torn between M and L -- do these run small / large? Maybe I'd but both sizes + return one...?

Pretty true to size. I'm a medium with Marmot and several other brands, mountain hardwear is one.

Backcountry's return policy is pretty good.
Marmot runs true to size. Medium in Marmot is basically the same as Medium in the REI brands, possibly a bit roomier for outerwear.

Unfortunately this deal is only available in L, XL, and XXL.

Be nice to pick up something that doesn't melt when an ember lands on it. I am guessing this is not it since the shell is nylon?

Correct. You're going to want a natural fiber outer shell. A good wool coat can't be beat if you're around a campfire quite a bit. Same for wool gloves.
