They're essentially the same aside from the screen. V4 has always on with a backlight and Venu has an oled screen that's on when you look at it. Different screen tech. Just compare those two features. Oled screen uses much more battery so you'll need to charge more often.

Great deal. I've been wanting to upgrade from my V3 since the V4 came out and just haven't been able to justify it. I just have watched every review video out there for this thing. This is a solid deal on a great watch. Thanks!

The same price at kohl's but without the memory cards, as long as Buydig has a decent return policy this is definitely the better deal.

I've heard great things about the V4 and the Venu - I can't decide which is the better choice for me - does anyone have the pros and cons between those 2?

Venu has the better display, everything else is pretty much the same IIRC

Thank you

Sure thing, I went with the V4 and only use the backlight at night for battery reasons. The colors are not as nice but I decided battery life was more important. If you want a vibrant screen similar to other smartwatch's you can go for the Venu. Lots of videos on YouTube comparing them too.

I picked up a Venu last year on sale with Army exchange. Battery life is excellent. It's extremely light on the wrist compared to a Samsung s3 frontier.

The only missing features are ability to make/answer phone calls and richer texting or picture viewing on the Samsung. Samsung was a bad fitness device.

Venu fitness tracking is solid. Sleep tracking is great as well.

Pick up the affordable base chargers on Amazon with silicon caps, won't have as big of a future problem with charge connector loosening due to plug and unplug.

Very happy with the venu. It does at times leave a hot spot on my wrist it seems from the HR sensor or just wearing too long

Had my s3 frontier for close to two years. Before that Microsoft band 2 which was the best fitness watch.

Venu deal isn't too big since the bundled extras seem to be junk tier. V4 deal is nice but only if you can use or were already in need of extra micro SDs.

Note that without the bundled items, this is an official sale from Garmin, it's the same price on Garmin.com, same price on Amazon, everywhere. BuyDig (which is fine, I've ordered from them many times no issues) is simply sweetening the deal. But if you have a preferred retailer for whatever reason, you can get the same deal pretty much if you don't need the memory cards (on VA, for example).

A killer deal would be if there's a place to order from w/o tax.

Also note that you can get a ForeRunner 245 Music for the same price from Garmin.com (and Amazon, and all other places) for the same price of 279.99, which is an absolutely fantastic deal. The 245 is very light, which for me makes a big difference in sleeping with the watch (38.5g for the FR245M vs 50.5g on the VA4, 31% more weight on the latter). If you don't care for having music on the watch, you can get a ForeRunner 245 w/o music for $239.99. I got the music version because I don't take my phone on runs, but if you do take your phone, you don't need music on the watch.
