The Bose 700 Noise Cancelling Headphones are the truth. In our Bose 700 vs Bose QuietComfort 35 II face-off, these set a new standard, with 11 levels of active noise cancelation that effortlessly silence rumblings across the frequency spectrum. Advantages in call quality and the companion app make the 700 the noise-cancelling king. The QC35 II is still a top performer, but it was only a matter of time before Bose outdid itself and released a superior noise canceller. These cans are still a great starter for newbies who are curious about noise-cancelling headphones. They are also a slightly cheaper alternative with great sound and battery life to match their strong ANC performance. If you already own the QC35 II, I don't believe you need to upgrade immediately. But if you're a noise-cancelling lover who wants to make the switch to Bose or you have the cash to splurge on the best, you won't find a better option than the Bose Noise-Cancelling Headphones 700. One big problem: its Bose app integration is very poor. The app often doesn't recognize that my headphones are actually connected.
Bose 700 are the polar opposite. The microphone is the best I've ever used for calls. My two young kids can be running around screaming in the same room during calls I take through Microsoft Teams or Google Meets, and you can barely hear them on the other end of the call. They sound wonderful (not quite as good as the XM3s, but 95% of the way there, which is to say they are VERY good). I think the ANC is about equal on both of them, I can't tell that one was better than the other - but the biggest difference is, the ANC on the XM3s made me feel like my ears were being pressurized really aggressively - on the Bose 700, I don't feel or notice any pressurization whatsoever.
And for those of you with giant heads, I have a giant head too - I'd say the XM3s were a 10/10 for comfort, and the Bose 700s are a 9/10. Just slightly less comfortable, but still very very comfortable and not a problem at all even with my giant head.
Hope this review helps anyone looking.

I feel like I'm in the same boat but idk that specific headset. What I can say is these fit much more comfortably than the Surface Headphones 2 and Sony XM3s, and the horizontal clamping force is not nearly as high, so I don't feel like it's squeezing my head or suffocating my ears.

My husband has an enormous head (wears the XL size motorcycle helmets) and these headphones adjust to be comfortable for him. I have a narrow head and they are slightly large no matter how I adjust them. I think they work well for normal to large heads, but not so much for those whose cranium is petite.
