holy-moly!!!
No one expected R263 will be ever in-stock. There were out of stock for year or two.
Immediately bought a pair along with R12 sub. Now I have a whole Infinity setup:
R263+R263+RC263+R162+R162+R12. What a lucky day!
I can't believe it. I waited and waited and waited and never thought the R263 would ever come back. I finally caved early this year and got the R253s to pair with the RC263 center and the R162 rears. I am so sad now. It's the one regret with this otherwise awesome speaker setup
The R263 3-way towers are superb - fairly flat response and wide horizontal dispersion. I thought those were gone for good, actually bought some on the used market a month or two ago. I love 'em, great on their own for music and they do just as well for HT. $400/pair is a smokin' deal on those, and they are well matched with the RC263 center.
I'm tempted to order a sub or two but I haven't seen any professional reviews of the R12 yet - although based on the other Infinity reference line speakers that I own (R263, RC263, R152, RS152), I trust that they are more than decent for the $180 asking price.
I have heard some criticism toward R12 but I guess it is for $500 ticket price. I went anyway ahead and bought it as it fit perfectly Infinity line and my budget - which is even more important))
Hmm.. I already bought the JBL Studio 530 for my Front L and R for my Home Theater Atmos 7.2.4 setup. Wondering if the Infinity R263 Towers will be an upgrade?

Same here, I scoured the internet for months and months looking for any, even used ones. I eventually got jbl 590s instead and they're great, but I almost want to buy these R263s out of principle for all the time I spent trying to track down a pair a couple years ago. But my wife might actually kill me since I have other speakers taking up room...
I'm just shocked that they're in stock again 2.5 years after they disappeared.

I have a similar setup, I love the 590s, but was really impressed with the RC263 over the JBL 520C so I just pulled the trigger on the R263s to complete the story. At worst, I have a kickass set of fronts for another room.
Wow, sweet deals. Should I go for the R263 (I would get 2, totaling $400), or go for a pair of bookshelves for $135. People rave about the towers, but wondering if it's worth more than 2x the price over a pair of bookshelves.

The R12 sub is definitely nowhere near the value that the other speakers are. If someone were trying to stick with a subwoofer in the same budget realm as the R12, I would suggest the Dayton Sub1500.
Ended up ordering the R263s .. Will have to decide between the JBL Studio 530 or the Infinity R263s once I get them. I have room for the Towers and I already have the RC263 for my Center and the R162 for my surrounds - so it'd make sense to have the R263 Towers to match the rest.
Prices are so close, but which is the deal/center?
Thanks!
My friend has the R-52C and I have the RC263. The RC263 sounds so much better to my ears. The Klipsch sounds harsh and bright to my ears, and that's after he did an Audyssey XT32 calibration. I did the same on my setup. If I were you, I would wait for the RC263 to go on sale. That center truly is worth it's price and more when it goes on sale.

Guess I continue the wait.
