I am currently running all definitive technology. Clr 2002 for front stage. I have a pair of r162 dor the bedroom. Does anyone have experience with both the def tech and infinity r263? Wondering how much difference in sound vs cost. I know its a long shot, but a second opinion would be welcome. Thanks

I have the RC263 center and kinda want to pick up the R263 towers... But can I justify it over my current Martin Logan Motion 10, they're older but they still sound nice
Those are two different sounding speakers.
What's going with the ML 10's that makes you want to change?

I can't believe it. I waited and waited and waited and never thought the R263 would ever come back. I finally caved early this year and got the R253s to pair with the RC263 center and the R162 rears. I am so sad now. It's the one regret with this otherwise awesome speaker setup
I'm in the same boat and I'm thinking if I should get a pair of R263s now and try to get rid of the R253s later.

I tried email and chat twice and came up short. Response always was, these are already discounted quite a bit and we can't take anything further off.

YMMV i suppose. But I didnt want to lose out on these so I said eff it and pulled the trigger.

What's a better center? The RC252 from this deal or the Klipsch deal on the R-52C?

https://www.adorama.com/kpr52c.ht...flaid62905

Prices are so close, but which is the deal/center?

Thanks!
I'd pick my left and right speakers first, then decide on a center based off the L/R .

Mostly to have the front all matching, move the ML 10 to the rear. But realistically nothing's wrong with them and I love the sound. But last month when I got the RC263 center to replace a blown pioneer I just wanted something that matches better, and it would mean my front (RC263 and R263) and surround (Old bookshelf SM65) would all be Infinity and only the rears would be different. Currently I'm using some tiny Samsung speakers for the center surround.

Well I would say since you have those, auditioning them side by side in two channel will give a much better idea on the "difference" than any opinion in here.

It might be worth the shot since Harmon has a decent return policy.

How does the reference vs primus line compare? Have the primus front and center from like a decade ago...

Is the R263 a worthwhile upgrade from the R162 bookshelf speakers for L/R?

I already have the RC263 center and RS152 for rears, so nowhere to repurpose the R162...

That's my plan... Although I am trying to convince myself to cancel the r263, because with a sub it probably doesn't matter much if at all... Confused

These are like your mom when she's 20. Elac D2s are like your mom when she's 70. It comes down to preference. Wink

I am new. Do I need an amp or something to use those speakers? Or, can I directly connect them to my PC? I am asking this because the spec sheet of them talks about the "recommended amplifier power".
Thank you in advance. Smilie
