Good laptop but non-HD screen is a deal killer It's ridiculous to use non-HD screens at these times.

One of my biggest tech regrets was getting a 768p laptop for schoolwork -- word processing, research, collaborative work, etc. is cramped and lousy (especially on a 15"). Anything less than 1080p is simply not worth it in my opinion.

Got the kids ideapads for homework during covid. They work great, are snappy, good battery life and I paid $250 each for something very similar to this but my god, the screens have a view angle of like 1*. They are built how you would expect a $300 laptop would be but that screen. Probably still going to be a good purchase but for any future purchase of mine I'll definitely

Yes, I got a $230 Motile on ebay from VipOutlet. Great little machine, it even has a backlit keyboard!

Speaking of motile, I couldn't find anything googling, but is there any info out there on whether they're going to continue making laptops or not? I'm on a non urgent hunt for a laptop and a 4 series ryzen 5 at the prices they were at last holiday season sounds like an automatic winner

In regards to the TN panel..i'm not that picky as I mainly only use the laptop for browsing and remoting into work computer with citrix.. I received the below from Office Depot with a TN display and its kind of annoying when I do work on the computer and I am looking at the screen from different angles (even more bothersome when I work outside) It seems like the following Lenovo with an IPS display is actually cheaper at Walmart- would getting an IPS display work better? Thanks

This is $100 high for a laptop with this garbage display. This is what I paid for my Ideapad with 1080p IP display and USB-C.

people can sh!t on this deal all they want but the fact remains that, barring isolated exceptions, you won't find even a used computer with these specs for this price - let alone a brand new one. we're talking about $300 bucks here people. anything else new with an ssd, intel processor, 8GB of ram, bluetooth, and hdmi port is easily in the +$500 category. if you're looking for an A/V laptop, maybe the higher screen res is more valuable to you. if you're looking for a machine to use for work/school-related tasks (word processing, email, internet browsing, spreadsheets, etc.), this is a great deal.

2020 and still 768p ??? i have 2 lenovo laptop just 2 month out of warranty on both of them the fan died. Lenovo wants 120 $ for the swap for the cooling fan. thats ridiculous.

i will stay away from lenovo from now on.
