Basically paying double, I'll just get a XT5500 unless your streaming and have a 2019-2020 computer. If your just updating an old computer just get a basic 8GB XT 5500
These are two different leagues of cards. That would be like saying why get a 2080 super when you can get a 1660.

yes I would say 90% of gamers cannot tell a difference.feom.a video card that is 56 out of 620 and another one that's 15 out of 620.
here are 2080 super vs 1660 comparisons
yes being number 8 on the benchmark (2080) says a lot but the pricing is a big difference. and again most gamers won't be able to push this card due to bottlenecking and. investing into 4k screen etc. so yeah I don't think there's a big difference for most gamers when it comes to XT 5500 vs xt5700 but then again I am fine with my s8+ phone and don't need an s20
The 5500 gets half the frame rates of the 5700 in-game. Maybe that's why it's half the price. Even your ridiculous userbenchmark link says the latter is 83% better.

No. Most gamers can see and feel the difference between 30 and 60fps. Most gamers can see and feel the difference between 60 and 144 fps. Hence why people switch from console to PC.

My bad all I just play CS GO and Team Fortress on a 1080p so I'm always maxed out, sorry for the bad info
If this is what you were trying to say, you should've stated that much earlier. Yes, if your personal situation is only low-demand, high FPS e-sports games then saving money and getting the 5500XT might make sense. But outside of that situation where most gamers play a bunch of different, very demanding games, it makes much more sense to spend the extra money and get a 5700XT.
Just try to clarify your position better next time and people won't bash on you as much.
i've read that ASRock is hit or miss with their rebates, but I literally just today got back my mail in rebate $20 check for a different 5700XT card that I sent out maybe a month ago or less. YMMV though.
