And is the bag claim true...that it spreads 50% more ?
Check before heading to the store. It's out of stock everywhere near me.
I also watched a Youtube video on how to spread mulch like a pro to do it the most efficient and right way.
Some areas I haven't mulched in 5 years, but I was able to get my entire front of the house done (extensive landscaping inside and outside of a walkway) (25 feet), the side of the house (30 feet), all along my back fence row (about 80 feet and was basically dirt) then along 1 side of the back of the house (another 20 feet). Alot of these areas have wavy beds, so it was a pretty big job to edge and mulch everything.
When I list it here how much I was able to put down, I would say the coverage was pretty good.

my local store has 5,300 bags in stock. I think I'm good. :-)

Maybe I'll try a few bags just to see what the problem is. I am curious about how much better the triple shredded spreads (and I assume it slows the water down more than traditional, which could help with water retention/distribution)
They may be putting this on clearance type sale due to such bad feedback from customers. First 8-10 reviews (and maybe more, I stopped reading after seeing so many of the same complaints and pics) all saying same thing, that color lasts 2 weeks tops.
Anyone actually go through the process of cashing in for that "guaranteed color for one year"? Curious how they repay or reimburse for that. Not that I would want that hassle, but if I bought 75 bags of this...
And finally, FWIW, you can buy mulch dye AND mulch glue, for mulch enthusiasts out there that may not know about those products. I use mulch glue in certain spots that get a lot of water/erosion. Never tried the dye.
Lowe's is having a 5 for 10 deal on Scotts Nature Scapes Triple Shred 1.5-cu ft Mulch. Normally over 3 dollars a bag, this is the mulch deal of the summer.
