Its the Sony x900H, VA panel with local dimming and HDMI 2.1 (with future update). No formal reviews out yet, but initial impressions seem really good. I'll be buying the 65" as soon as the price drops a bit.

I'm thrilled that Costco is selling Sony again.

X900F is a really good model but I know the HDMI port is old/outdated now

This seems to be normal price. $2799 for 900H on Sony's website. Definitely wait it out.

The 3 year manufacturers warranty is a strong selling point

List price was $3500 for the TV, but it came to market under list price and most places priced it at $2799. So, it is cheaper, but not by much. However, you also get the warranty benefits of Costco. Usually new model TV's start at list price in the spring and then start dropping in the summer. The 900H (X90CH) was a late to begin with, and the 950H that came out this spring has already had price drops so it seems they decided to start the pricing on this well under the list price. It will certainly drop more by the end of the year I would think, but price drops may not be as significant. It's a good value as it is currently IMO.

I've been following this for a few days and decided to order one after seeing enough positive reviews from people who already have one and some speculation that it would maybe only drop another $100 in the next few months (I just moved so need a new TV now). I opted for purchasing it through Costco and paid $99 for the 5 years of warranty coverage instead of pairing it with the Best Buy credit card (10% rewards) but with only 1 year of warranty coverage (and about $450 for a similar warranty). Either would have been a good option for what I'm hoping will be a great TV that will age very well. My understanding is that the X900H and the X90CH are the same TV.

X-wide is stupid and lowers the contrast. Who the hell actually needs it? Are you watching TV from the side of a room?

Looks to be identical to the XBR85X900H.
