OH MY... Never saw this before. I don't know how many times the significant other has said, let's go in it's too hot... even wanting to go in the trailer... We do live in a low humidity area so get that added benefit... AND Father's day is just around the corner... AND AND... I have a good number of tools AND batteries.

I'm working on her now...

One of the misters clogged up a bit, you can unscrew them on the sides of the fan. You can also adjust the mist with them.

Once I think the hose got clogged, I was able to pull the misters, and run water through it, then no problems.

i thought removing moisture in the air makes it cooler / so how does adding mist into the air helps keep you cool ?

You are combining that moisture with moving air....the evaporation creates a cooling effect.

The water evaporates into the dry incoming air and It grabs some heat energy to change from liquid to gas. So the water and air (now with more water vapor in it) both cool a little. The air cools enough to make it more comfortable. This is a humidifier that happens to cool the air too.

Refrigeration air conditioners cool the air by running it through a cold heat exchange. A side effect is that water condenses onto the cool surfaces of the heat exchange, and the air is dryer. An AC is an air cooler that happens to dry the air too.

Dangit, I was really hoping that these bucket fan misters would end up on the clearance rack. 89 is too much. Another reason to walk by the clearance racks every single time.

We got one last sale at this level. I used it yesterday 90 degrees sun on the back deck. It was wonderful. you do have to set it just right so you don't get "wet" but still get the advantages of the mist from a temp moderating standpoint. At full price not worth it. At this price it is imho.

It doesn't work in hot humid areas of the country. It works best the dryer the heat (lack of humidity). In the southwest, you can buy evaporator air conditioning systems in some areas that do this for a business or house.

This is a spot area version essentially.

We got one and it has been in the 90's here in MT since. This is a very nice "cool" device and it works great. You gotta get it just right on distance (unless you don't mind getting a bit wet) and compensating for wind but once you do it will definitely cut your temps and/or cool you off on a sweatbusting day... We will try camping this weekend it looks like per temps...

I absolutely does work. I live in the South East where humidity is a daily thing. We have some misting fans at work that can take your breath on a hot day when you have been outside in the heat for a while.
