Was waiting for my Grainger saw deal from earlier this week to arrive and it doesn't look like that will be happening so I decided to look around and saw that Lowes had a very similar deal to the one that reached the FP, but instead of being a 5.0 AH it was a 3.0 AH battery. Additionally, more tools. Seems like a good deal to me and didn't see it so figured I'd share. Smilie

Battery kit is stackable so you can get multiple batteries if you buy multiple tools. Lots of brushless tools here. Seemed like a good deal for those trying to start off their dewalt 20v tool collection.

    Gonna say yes. I have a Makita router, impact driver, and drill/driver (all brushless) and while they're all great tools, I regretted starting out in that platform since Makita is a bit conservative with their deals compared to other mainstream brands. Since then, most of my tools are Milwaukee M12, Ryobi, and DeWalt. If you're a pro and don't mind shelling out a bit extra on everything, then Makita is a good option.

    Just so everyone knows, the 3ah battery is the DCB230. This is actually my favorite battery from Dewalt due to its size.

    It has a longer, wider base, as well as a lower profile overall. So for stand up tool, like drills, this gives you a better platform to prevent drill from falling over. (Just an FYI I also put a rubberized cork and cloth tape on the bottom of all my batteries. It gives it grip, while it also protects the underside of battery from scratches. And yes, I'm one of those people. My tools look like they've never been used.)

    I just got off the phone with grainger regarding the 7 1/4 circular saw OP ordered since I had ordered one as well. They said they are back ordered on the saw and it is still expected to come in the 25th. Still a better deal IMO if you don't mind waiting.

    if you're looking for a circular saw the flexvolt with 9ah battery deal plus 2ah battery and 796 hammer drill is the best deal at home depot for 299. Sell the drill and 2ah batrery on Facebook marketplace for 100-120 bucks.
