I would opt for the GPS model, also get the right SD card, the right NAND Technology in the card, you want MLC, not cheap TLC, it's where people go wrong.
Also as much as possible install in the shade of the windhields's Frit dots, positioning the lens out from, under them. It won't hurt the dots they're baked into the glass and the camera will stick.
They provide some shade to the camera body.
Edit, here you go, inform on SD cards, personally I would not go over a 64 GB card, unless you're a trucker. Bigger just wears out a little slower. I would just buy 2 64s and keep one as a spare.
Avoid the A129 duo pro 4k, I bought it and it can't handle heat at all. The camera runs at 160 degrees in 80 degree weather and will start beeping throwing SD card errors before shutting down and restarting constantly. The heatsink on the camera is totally inadequate for this application.

Have enjoyed the A119 v2 for a few years now. But the camera developed a shake a year in to ownership. Had to wedge it still. Any issues like that on the new ones?

Just got the X700 with rear camera. Which is better x700 or the Viofo Duo?
The X700.
I've had two A119 and A119S, and after having a Thinkware I feel the Viofo is lackluster in comparison. Also, one of my A119 failed after a couple of years. It became swollen and the buttons were hard to press, too. And I had a situation where it just stopped recording without giving an indication that it wasn't. I literally set up a backup camera so that I had two cameras running in case one failed.
All in all, I don't know if I'll touch another Viofo. It was very unsettling knowing that I may not be recording, thereby defeating even buying and installing the damn thing.
Last dash cam I had literally froze up in sub zero temps..how's this one handle the bitter cold?...Ampulla was great about sending out a new one after sending them a short clip via email.Ended up selling it though since I believe it said in the specs taht zero was the bottom end of frigid cold. And where I live that is a nice day sometimes in December or January.
Any software issues with yours? My friend has the 129 non 4k and has a software issue when he tries to get the footage from the cam through wifi
So I don't have any issues but I found out that Apple users will need to put their phones into airplane mode in order to be able to use the app without any glitches.

Not considering Duo models (I will buy 2x singles for redundancy/independent cameras)
