This gets moldy underneath the head.
I charge it then take it off charger till it run out of battery. I have it at least 5 years and works great.
Do yourself a favour and get the series 2.

For me, they usually run for 2-3 years then the battery dies.

Yes I agree. Mine has been used for more than 5 years with only slight change of battery life but it is the model with smaller head connection part. That one has more choices about head replacement and mostly $20 after discount

Thanks! Purchased.
Been using Sonicare for many years and have gone through a few because the battery eventually doesn't charge well (takes years for that to happen).
Just noticed this morning that mine is starting to need charging more often.

I've owned 3 models of sonic care tooth brushes, all purchased on sale. The 20$ battery one, this one, and the 4100. The 4100 is 40$ and 100% superior to this. I'll never buy another brand or brush because of how perfect it is. Hit the sweet spot for sure.

Also, the cup head design on these allows for mold to get trapped inside of the cup, the 4100 just has regular stick heads that pop on and off and are a better buy for replacement too.
