Last year I had a very poor experience with this company. I had booked a hotel about 6 months prior and when I arrived the people didn't even have my reservation. The manager was able to accommodate me. However, the room window sills were full of mold. Because I am allergic I immediately contacted hotels.com. Their answer was that the owner states that there is no mold and therefore we cannot refund you any money. I emailed them the pictures of the place and I received no refund. In addition, when I wrote my review about the place I had booked, which included the pictures, hotels.com did not publish my review and has never to this day contacted me about the incident. Needless to say, I have closed my account.

Note: I did not stay in the place. I ended up booking a different hotel that night and left right away.

always safest to book directly through the hotel. might not be the cheapest though.
